The Kyocera DS-38 electric diamond sharpener is a compact battery-powered sharpener, designed to restore the edge of ceramic knives simply at home.
Ceramic is so hard that it cannot be sharpened with a honing steel or a conventional stone: it needs a diamond abrasive. This motorised sharpener does the job in a guided way, with no experience needed, and its small size means it can be stored in a drawer.
