The Kai Seki Magoroku Kinju 15 cm deba knife is the most versatile size of this traditional Japanese knife for working whole fish.

Its robust, weighty blade does the hard work: cutting off the head, cutting through fine bones and separating the fillets of medium-sized sea bream, sea bass or mackerel. The finer front part is for delicate cuts along the bone.

It is handmade in the knife-making tradition of Seki, with single-sided sharpening (single bevel), the classic system of Japanese fish knives. For the Kinju and Hekiju range the manufacturer states a hardness of 56 to 58 HRC (±1) and a handle combining Pakkawood and polypropylene. With a weight of 252 g, the blade itself helps with the firmest cuts; the handle is 12 cm long.

The recommended deba for anyone who cleans fish at home regularly.
