Kai Shun Premier tantō knife 25,5 cm, limited edition

The Kai Shun Premier tantō knife is a limited edition of the series created with Tim Mälzer. Its 25,5 cm blade adopts the angular tip of the tantō, a Japanese-origin shape that concentrates strength at the point and allows highly precise cuts.

In the kitchen it behaves like a long working knife: it slices meats and fish, opens large pieces and lets you work with the tip to remove tendons or make clean incisions. The length of the blade gives reach for long cuts without sawing.

It is handmade in Seki (Japan) from damascus steel with a VG-MAX core, a hardness of 61 (±1) HRC and a double-sided edge. The hammered finish of the Premier line and the 12 cm brown Pakkawood handle complete a 220 g piece designed to be used as much as to be admired.

An option for collectors and enthusiasts looking for something different within the Shun range.
