Woll Iron cast iron pot in charcoal grey

The Woll Iron cast iron pot in carbon grey is an enamelled casserole with sober lines, designed for slow cooking and serving at the same table: oxtail, lentils, a chicken stewed with vegetables or a loaf of bread with a crusty crust.

Thanks to the high thermal inertia of cast iron, a gentle heat is enough to maintain steady cooking for hours, and the pot keeps its heat on the table long after the hob is turned off. The lid, also cast iron, has a drop-shaped relief on its inner face that collects the condensed steam and returns it to the food, basting it continuously so it stays juicy.

Inside it has an extra-rough matte black enamel, scratch resistant and with a non-stick effect that improves with use; outside, an elegant carbon grey that goes with any kitchen. It includes silicone handle protectors. It is suitable for all types of hob, including induction, and for the oven up to 300 °C without the protectors. Woll offers a 25 year guarantee on the body.

Care: Although it is dishwasher safe, the manufacturer recommends washing by hand to protect the enamel. Let it cool before washing to avoid thermal shock, use lukewarm water, mild washing-up liquid and a soft sponge, and dry well. A thin coat of oil from time to time keeps the enamel in good condition.
